What can I expect from the application process?
Our hiring journey is designed to be clear, fair and human – just like us. You’ll always know where you stand, what to expect and what we’re looking for at each step. And we’re just as keen to make sure, we’re the right fit for you.
Our assessment process typically consists of two stages. Stage one is an initial screening, where we’ll discuss your career background, your experience and understand your motivations. Stage two is a more in‑depth interview, focused on assessing your behavioural and technical skills, as well as how well your values align with ours and your long‑term potential. For certain roles, you can expect additional formal assessments, but you’ll know about this before being invited for an interview.
Where can I get support with my application and interview?
If you’re applying for a permanent or contract role, your recruiter will be your main point of contact and will be happy to support you throughout the process.
If you’re applying through a third party, please speak to your agency or umbrella company.
We want you to feel prepared and confident at every stage. If your role includes a presentation or assessment, you’ll always be told in advance and given time to prepare.
How soon after interview will I know if I’ve been successful?
We value clear communication and we share timely updates, so you’ll always know where you stand, what to expect and what’s coming next.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes, we're happy to accept applications from the same candidate for more than one role.
What is the on-boarding/induction process after I join?
We want you to get off to a great start from your first day, and every day after.
Once you accept an offer, we’ll send you your contract to review and sign. You’ll then receive access to our onboarding portal, where you can upload documents such as ID, references and right-to-work information. Our vetting process can take up to five weeks.
Once vetting is complete, we’ll confirm your start date, taking your notice period and availability into account.
When you start with us, your hiring manager and our People team will arrange your induction to help set you up for success. A highlight of our new starter experience is our monthly Induction Day, held at out Manchester Head Office. You’ll join other new colleagues to explore Smart DCC in depth, and tour our Testing, Innovation and Security facilities.
